Windsor Things to Do

The destination town is a great place for families, couples, or individuals looking for a great place to experience good food, delicious wine, and scenic attractions. Throughout the year, there are some really unique events that will certainly create a memorable experience for the entire family.

The Hot Air Balloon Classic has been in town for 25 years, making it one of the most anticipated events by both locals and tourists. The festival is typically two days of arts and crafts, food, tethered balloon rides, and gorgeous balloons of various shapes and sizes floating in the air. This event is so much fun, and a definite experience to participate.

Windsor is home to some really rich historical buildings and sights to see. The Windsor Historical Society and Museum is the best place to explore if you are interested in learning a bit more about the history of Windsor. The society leads at least two walks per year, telling stories about the old downtown buildings of Windsor. Beyond that, the members of the society are always tracking down more information regarding the history of the people who once occupied the area. The Hembree House Museum offers a strong historic background, and is currently used as a venue for meetings or other events. Hembree House also features exhibits on both people and events that helped create and shape Windsor into the town it is today.

Do not leave Windsor without exploring the lakes, rivers, trails, and parks in the town. Foothill Regional Park, Riverfront Regional Park, and Shiloh Ranch Regional Park are the most well-known parks within the town, and they will not disappoint!
